Various parts on the processing of plastic molds should have sufficient strength and rigidity to prevent damage and deformation during use, and fastening parts must have anti-loosening measures to avoid accidental injury to the operator.
The structure should try to ensure the convenience of feeding, ordering, discharging and cleaning up waste. For the processing of small parts, it is strictly prohibited to extend the operator’s fingers, wrists or other parts of the body into the mold area; for the processing of large parts, if the operator must work into the mold by hand, the scope of the mold should be reduced as much as possible. Try to shorten the time that a part of the body stays in the mold as much as possible, and the range of the mold processing danger zone should be clear, and the necessary protective measures and devices should be equipped.
It is not allowed to produce scraps or workpiece missiles during processing, which affects the operator’s attention and even hurts the operator. In addition, burrs on the punched parts should be avoided to cut the hands. The operator is not allowed to have excessively large movements during the punching operation, to avoid postures that cause the body to lose stability; excessive and excessive movements during the operation are not allowed. Try to avoid strong noise and vibration during stamping. The mold design should indicate the weight of the mold on the general plan, which is convenient for installation and guarantees safety. The processing of parts weighing more than 20 kg should have lifting and handling measures to reduce labor intensity. The assembly and disassembly of molds should be convenient and safe to avoid the possibility of gripping or cutting hands; the mold should be easy to disassemble and store.
In short, even subtle problems in the mold can affect safety. Only by analyzing the specific problems in each operation can the safety precautions in mold processing be proposed.
