China Mold > Blog > FAQ > Reasons for the low number of mold silicone mold overturns
Too much silicone oil is added in the process of making the mold, and the silicone oil destroys the molecular weight of the silica gel, so the mold will have fewer mold turns and not durable.
If you are making a small product with a more complex pattern, use a high-hardness silicone to open the mold, and there will be a small number of mold reversals, because the time when the silicone is too hard will be brittle and easy to break. On the contrary, if you build products and use silicone with low hardness as the mold, the result will also be unsatisfactory.
Because silicone is too soft, its tensile strength and tear strength will be reduced, and the resulting mold will be deformed, so the number of mold turns will be reduced. The quality of the mold glue itself is very good, silicone is not good or bad, only suitable and unsuitable. We will use silicone that is suitable for the hardness of the product to make the mold. This will not happen.
