Design of the glue level of the mold

The wall thickness of the plastic parts of the injection plastic mold should be uniform and consistent, to avoid the design of abrupt changes and wide disparities in thickness, otherwise it will cause uneven shrinkage and defects on the surface of the plastic parts.

The wall thickness of plastic parts is generally in the range of 1 ~ 6mm

The most commonly used wall thickness value is 1.8 ~ 3mm, which depends on the type and size of the plastic parts.

The design of the mold bone position

  • 1. The bone position of the plastic parts can increase the strength, fix the bottom shell, support frame, key guide, etc. Since the connection between the bone position and the plastic shell is likely to produce shrinkage depressions, the thickness of the bone position should be less than or equal to 0.5t (t is the wall thickness of the plastic part), and the general bone thickness is in the range of 0.8 to 1.2mm.
  • 2. When the bone depth is more than 15mm, it is easy to produce glue walking and sleepy. 3. Inserts can be made on the mold, which is convenient for saving mold and exhausting. 4. The bone depth is less than 15mm, and the draft angle should be more than 0.5˚;
  • 3. The depth is more than 15mm, and the thickness difference between the root and the top of the bone is not less than 0.2mm.
